Hello, thanks for stopping by.

This website was created to store my maps, photos and notes about the various motorcycle trips I take. I discovered that I had misplaced or lost information about several trips I had taken over the years. Now I save them on this website so I always have them. I know very little about creating a website, so please don't be too critical of my efforts.

The Riders

First, let me tell you a little about myself. My name is Robert and I've been riding motorcycles most of my adult life. I live in Arlington, Texas which is betwen Dallas and Fort Worth. Most of my rides have been with my oldest son, Mark. He has been riding for several years. He lives in Arlington also. We've made numerous trips together over the last several years.

I've since added some new riding partners. My wife now rides with me since we got a Goldwing. Also my sister and her husband went to Colorado with us in '09 on their new Goldwing.

Riding History

I'll try not to bore you with a bunch of rhetoric, but give a little background about our riding. In the late '90's, both Mark and I rode Harley Road Kings. Mine was a '99 model and Mark's was a 2000. We made several trips to the Four Corners rally that was held every Labor Day weekend near Durango, Colorado as well as numerous trips to the Texas hill country. I didn't care much about the actual rallies, but the roads in Colorado can't be beat for great riding. Any direction you go from Durango has some super riding. The last three times we went, we only spent a couple of days in Durango. From there we made a big loop thru Wyoming, Utah and Montana.

We took a couple of years off from riding but in 2006 we bought new bikes. We went the sport touring route this time. I bought a 2006 ST 1300 and Mark bought a 2006 FJR. We really enjoy long motorcycle tours and these bikes are perfect for long trips if riding solo.

In July 2009 I traded the ST for a new Goldwing which we've ridden on our most recent trips. Our trip to Colorado in '09 is now loaded on this website. We went to Colorado again in 2010, but I haven't loaded it yet. Click on "Trips", then click on a listed trip to ride along and view each day's route and photos.
