Estes Park to Canon City

This route took us over to Golden thru several tunnels. Then south down to Canon City near the Royal Gorge.

This is one of the tunnels we went thru on Hwy. 6 before Golden. Be careful, because sometimes there is water in these even though it hasn't been raining recently.

|
Hwy. 6 follows Clear Creek which is very scenic. This is a great road, considering it's so close to Denver and major population.

On the bridge at the Royal Gorge looking straight down. It's almost 1100 feet to the bottom.

There's a tram that you ride across the gorge. Don't know about you, but I trust the bridge more.

| This sign is in the center of the bridge. You can actually ride your bike across if you want, but there's nowhere to go on the other side. So we just parked and walked across so we could see better. This was the last picture of the day. As I said earlier, I didn't take very many pictures on this trip.
