This is the total route for the day. This includes a ride to the top of Mount Evans and a ride through Rocky Mountain National Park.
This is an expanded look at the first half of the route. This part includes the Mt. Evans ride.
This is the second half which includes a ride through RMNP.

Early morning shot of the main street in Leadville. When we arrived last night, it had just stopped raining. We walked up the street for dinner at Quincy's Steaks and Spirits (Quincy's Review). It's easy to order there, only one item featured per day. It was bacon wrapped fillet last night, however they have 3 different sizes. Very good.

It's kinda hard to read because of the extreme zoom, but it's 41 degrees this morning. This was taken from the same spot as the photo above, so it's a long way off.
This is looking west down another street.
A closer look up the main street.
We went downtown to eat breakfast. This is a hotel across the street. Just as we were about to leave and I had already put the camera up, Mark spotted a dog that came out of one of the top windows and was walking around on the ledge. Wish I had got that on film.

Hoosier Pass just south of Breckenridge.
Another shot at Hoosier Pass.
Looking back toward Breckenridge.
The bikes at Hoosier Pass. On to Mount Evans.
Well here we are at the base. Great, it's just starting to rain. We talked to a guy who had just come back down on a Ducati and he said it was snowing up there. Super.
The entrance station, but we're not sure if we should go.
We'll check out the Visitor Center first and see what the weather does. When we came out it was still sprinkling rain. Oh well, put on the rain gear and let's go.
We made it to the top, no snow, just light rain.
I bet you could see for miles on a clear day. It's still an awesome view.
You can still see a good way including the road we rode up on.
Another view.
It's beginning to clear in the west, but it's still raining on us.
Lots of these guys roaming around. I guess people feed them because they're fairly gentle.
More scenery.
Mark at the top. Hands in pockets, it's cold.
Now me at the top.
Both of us.
More sheep.
I don't think you can see it in the photo, but it's beginning to snow. We better get outa here, now!
Safely back down and a stop for gas in Idaho Springs. Nice little stream across the freeway.
Now we're in RMNP. It's gonna rain again. Some of the clouds are below us.
The clouds are really getting thick now.
This is not a real clear picture because these elk are a long way off, probably 600-700 yards away.
A construction stop. There's a flag man up there, but he's hidden in the clouds.
Mark, surveying the situation.
