This is the total route for the day. This starts the trip back home. But it includes some great riding through Lake City and Creede.
This is an expanded look at the first half of the route. This part goes through Lake City and then Creede. It's definitely the prettiest part of today's ride.
This is the second half which is pretty much out of the mountains.
This is Lake City. I didn't get a very good picture here.
The Hinsdale County Museum in Lake City. I don't think it's open.

Post Office in Creede, but you already knew that.
The shadows block out the sign, but this is the Creede library.
I took this along the side of the road just south of Creede where I was stopped for speeding by a Mineral County Sheriff's deputy. He clocked me at 71mph in a 60mph zone. I got lucky though, he only warned me after running my license and checking my insurance. Although Mark was right behind me, the deputy didn't say anything to him.

Looking behind us in San Luis. Looks like we missed the rain.
Maybe not, on missing the rain. We stopped along side the road to gear up. It's sprinkling on us now.
Back to NM. We can't escape the rain.
Looks like this will be a hard rain.
