This is the total route for the day. I couldn't use Google for this map. For some reason it won't draw a route that goes over Independence Pass. We rode through Rocky Mountain National Park and then down through Leadville over Independence Pass, Aspen and finally Glenwood Springs. Rocky Mountain National Park had very low visibility due to smoke blowing in from the Califiornia fires.

Early morning in RMNP. The smoke was very thick and the visibility was very limited. You can see the road below that we have already ridden in on.

People call this a chipmonk but I think it's actually a ground squirrel.

Inside the Visitor Center. This building gets completely covered in snow during the winter.

Stopped for a break in Leadville.

Leadville is an old town. This saloon has been around since 1879.
