This year we did a different kind of trip from what we normally do. It was just my wife and I, so we decided to ride to Ouray and stay there for several days and do day trips instead of having a different destination each day. This makes for a more relaxing trip becaue we didn't have to unpack and repack every day. Plus, if you're gonna stay in one place for a while, it doesn't get any better than this part of Colorado.

There were actually two days that we didn't ride at all. One to just take it easy and goof off and the other we rented a Jeep and drove over to Lake City and back across the rugged high country.

It was a great trip, but I kinda like the other type of trip better where I cover a lot of different country. But there's pluses and minuses for both. They're all good when you have that kind of scenery.
