First half of route for Day Three. (Provo area was approximately half way.)

Second half of route for Day Three. Montpelier, Idaho is our destination for the day.

I'm up first and have already removed my bike cover. This is at the motel in Moab. It's was a nice morning but it warms up quickly in this part of the country.

This is from the street beside our Moab motel. There are some really unique rock formations in this part of Utah.

The entrance to Arches NP is just a few miles north of Moab. Let's go in an take a look around.

A quick shot of our bikes before we go in.

That's the visitor center below just past the entrance. We'll stop there on the way out.

There's so many things to photograph, a person just can't do it all. I guess you could if you weren't trying to cover over 400 miles a day.

This is a close up of the previous shot. These formations are probably 300-400 feet tall.

Just another shot in the park.

There's an arch up there. You can barely make it out because of the rocks behind it.

I zoomed in here for a close up which makes it easier to see.

There's a trail which leads up close to the arch. We hiked up about half-way and Mark took my picture in front of the arch.

Now it's Mark's turn in front of it.

Our bikes are waiting on us after the hike up the hill.

Here's another arch along the way.

A zoomed in close up.

They've got some special name for these formations, but I don't remember what it is.

This must have been a small arch at one time.

This is in the visitors center and this is a replica of the first arch we saw.

Back on the road. This is before the town of Duchesne.

This is looking west on the main street in Duchesne. It's not a very large town.

Just west of Duchesne is Starvation Reservoir. This is a very pretty lake in the middle of this desert country.

Looking the opposite direction at Starvation Reservoir.

A little further down the road is Strawberry Reservoir. Don't know how it got its name, we didn't see any strawberries.

Entering Idaho. This is the last picture of the day. We were ready for a shower and something to eat. Overall, this was the hottest day of riding. Typically, the day we leave Texas is the hottest, but it rained most of that day which kept the temperature down.
