Glacier 2006 Trip
09/01/06 - 09/10/06
Day Nine - Saturday, 09/09
Boulder, Colorado to Raton, New Mexico
308 Miles

<< Day 8 Glacier 2006 Main Page Day 10 >>

I had to break this route down into four different portions because it's like a long line and wouldn't fit on one or even two shots. This is the first part. Originally our route would have been from Leadville to Raton but the tire problem changed that.

Part two of the route. We had to change our route in mid stream because the road (Hwy 67 to Woodland Park) was closed because it had washed out. So, we went back north to Sedalia and then south again.

Part three.

Part four to Raton.

Morning in Boulder. It had rained during the night but looked like it might clear up soon.

It's still fairly cloudy in the east.

After turning off Hwy 285 onto 126.

Another shot on Hwy 126.

After the road closure and going north on Hwy 67.

Oops. Dirt again. This was a fairly narrow road, but the dirt only lasted about 3 or 4 miles.

This was a neat little bar/restaurant where the dirt turned back to pavement.

Stopped to buy gas in Sadalia.

Pikes Peak from the service road of Interstate 25.

This is a close up of Pikes Peak, but you can barely make it out.

Another shot along side Interstate 25 north of Pueblo.

Taking a break near Walsenburg.

Another shot at the break near Walsenburg.

Back to New Mexico.
